Thrifty car rental — Austin, TX

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

Rental rates fluctuate based on a few key factors. Where you pick up the vehicle makes a big difference, as airport locations often carry higher fees than neighborhood branches. Booking in advance usually saves you money, while last-minute requests or extending your trip can push costs higher. The type of car matters too; choosing a compact model is generally cheaper than a large SUV or luxury vehicle. Insurance coverage and adding extra drivers also adjust your final bill. Your exact pricing is confirmed free on the call.
